Farm Yarns
The Good Farm Shop
Where good food meets good farming
What began as a quiet search for a better way—of eating, of supporting farmers—soon became something deeper: a response to disconnection, a solution shaped by care, and now, a purpose carried forward with intention.
It started when Til’s mum set out to regenerate their family farm. As the soil came back to life, Til and Scott found themselves learning about the full spectrum of ways meat can be raised – and what those choices mean for land health, animal welfare, and human well-being. “Once you understand it,” Til says, “you can’t un-understand it.”
Wanting to support farmers working with nature, they tried a classic solution: a cow-share. Friends and family bought portions of a single animal, connecting directly to a regenerative producer. Encouraged, Til and Scott launched a small online butchery to widen the circle. The intention was clear; the realities were tough. Logistics were complex, margins razor-thin, and unsold cuts began to mount.
“We were hemorrhaging money,” Til recalls.
Scott’s culinary background offered a lifeline. He began transforming those surplus cuts into frozen ready meals—hearty, familiar dishes reminiscent of the pub classics his parents once served in London. To their surprise, the meals out-sold everything else. The butchery closed; the meals stayed. And The Good Farm Shop found its footing.
Today, every dish is built on regeneratively—or at least organically—raised ingredients, frozen to lock in nutrients and reduce waste. Rather than sourcing whole animals directly, Til and Scott now partner with value-aligned butchers like Provenir to ensure the meat they use carries the same integrity they set out to champion. With full transparency around sourcing, they give eaters a clear, convenient way to choose food that reflects their values.
Most regenerative meat still ends up in anonymous supply chains, losing the value of how it was raised. The Good Farm Shop helps bridge that gap—connecting producers who farm with care to people who want to eat with intention.
At Farmer’s Footprint, we’ve long celebrated the farmers restoring ecosystems from the ground up. But regeneration doesn’t end at the farm gate. It lives on in how food is processed, prepared, shared and eaten. That’s the role Til and Scott are playing—carrying forward the integrity of the farm into the everyday act of feeding a family.
Watch the video to hear them share their journey—from a family cow-share that nearly sank, to a ready-meal venture helping give regenerative meat the story, and the market, it deserves.
Because when farmers raise food with intention, it should reach us with that intention intact.
